Hoopfest 2010 | Spokane, WA Photographer

This weekend was Hoopfest! If you know us very well you know that we 1.) LOVE basketball and Hoopfest (watch out, it spreads 😉 ) and 2.) are down at Hoopfest every.single.year. Even when we have teeny babies or are pregnant or whatever. (or, this year, have pulled tendons in our knees. Nathan still played :P)
This year was fun and we loved it and Nathan’s team was 2-2. We were there most of the day Saturday and Sunday, we got burnt, ate a bunch of snow cones and had a grand time.

Usually we meet up with fairly classy guys to play against, but this year we got a really scrappy team. They were calling our guys  fantastically classy names (*not*), butting elbows into them and generally being super rude. FINALLY, the court monitor called the game because we were way ahead, time was almost out, and the guys were getting really rude. Right after he called it, Nathan walked away (he’d had one particular guy on his back the whole game) and out of nowhere that guy came running over and tackled Nathan to the ground…at which both teams and various family members starting rushing out there. We had  Rapid Response and police out there instantly, and they asked Nathan if he wanted to file assault charges because after he was tackled the guy kept threatening him. *gah* They disqualified the guy and he took off, but we’re super glad we didn’t have to run into him, or that team again. 🙂

Anyway, on to the pictures!!!!

Hi Holly! So, my husband Reuben was on Nathan’s team. Didn’t even know you were THE Holly that takes the pictures and that Jennifer talks about! Ha! How funny is that! Great photos! Hopefully someday I will get it together enough to have you do photos of our family!ReplyCancel
