“Mommy?”

“What’s up buddy?”

“Mom, I’m ready to grow up and be a big boy. I think I am ready to be like Andy on Toy Story when he goes to school and wears a big boy shirt and shorts. Can I be that big, mommy?”

“But what if I want you to stay my little boy for a bit longer?”

“Yes, but I’m getting to be a big boy now mom, you know? I think I’m ready to be a bigger boy.” And then he ran off to play.

I know you are buddy, but mommy’s not…

    Love the photos!! Totally understand the sentiments of not being quite ready to let them grow up, though… I’m dreading the start of the school year because it means I’ll have a FIRST GRADER. Eek! I can handle having one in kindergarten and one in pre school, but making the transition to that real grade is tough.ReplyCancel
