Monthly Quote – April

Some photographer friends & I are taking part in a monthly challenge, a chosen quote, and a picture that we feel describes that quote. You’ll see this on the 15th of every month, here on my blog. Enjoy!

“Having courage does not mean that we are unafraid. Having courage and showing courage means we face our fears. We are able to say, ‘I have fallen but I will get up.'” – Maya Angelou

Life is alot like that quote, isn’t it? It’s not sunshine and roses every day. We all have days during which we must face our fears, that we must push them down, and believe we can do it in spite of being afraid, in spite of intimidation. When I started my business, being in front of a camera (vs being the photographer!), making huge life decisions; these things make me afraid, but they do not mean that I stopped. Pushing on and ahead every day. And here, nearly 4 years later, I see the huge growth of my business, and the personal pride I can take in knowing that I  have built a wonderful business, and life, in spite of any fears or intimidation’s, and that I succeed at it every day.

Isn’t that so true! It seems every day there are new things to be afraid of, whether in business or just in life, but we don’t have to let them hold us back. Great thoughts!! And Jessica did a great job on your head shots!ReplyCancel

I relate to all three of the fears you mention. It is easy to think if I looked as fit as you, I’d have no problem being in front of the camera:) But we all have fears to overcome and the exciting part is not letting that fear freeze you. Your courage to pursue these things is so inspiring!ReplyCancel
