Tina Brown - Love the pics!

10 On Tuesday

1. Happy Tuesday! I am back to work here, hooray for feeling settled in, the “vacation” is over.;)I started my time back to work with a morning session with Ella today-what a doll! Many, many more to come soon.

2. Such a cutie!

3. Nathan studies with each of our brother’s and two friends a night a week here at our home, so the kids & I play together for an hour or so. This past weekend, as they were studying, I was emailing clients on my laptop & Landon got out his play laptop. He kept coming up to me, announcing that he had just completed another email, and was working hard. The boy knows the drill.;)

4. We celebrated Emma’s 3rd birthday on Saturday (ahhhhh) with a Tangled birthday party coming up this weekend. How is she 3?!

5. On that note, purple streamers are very, very hard to find in Spokane. Who would’ve guessed?

6. We are going camping next weekend for Memorial Day (I’ll be out of office Thursday-Monday) and I can’t wait to spend the weekend outside in the wonderful sunshine and at the lake! Anyone else have any fun plans?

7. We looove our house, and we looove our new neighbor’s. We have alot of retiree’s around us, and they’re pretty excited to have kids running around, and little one’s to play with when they’re grandkids come to visit. We are so blessed we got such a great group to be around. I love it when neighbor’s become friends.:)

8. We’ve also gotten a gazillion things done on our new home. In two weeks I think we’ve upped the value about 25k. It’s amazing what some paint and loving tender care can do to a home.

9. And pinterest. It does amazing things too.;)

10. Have a happy week! Stay tuned for a maternity special and more pictures of the darling Ella this week!

And then she turned 3… | Spokane Baby Photographer | Holly Clouse Photography

On each of the kids’ birthday’s, I write them a letter to be scrap booked for later. Today’s is for Emmalia. Her first birthday letter can be found HERE, and her second can be read HERE.

Emmalia,

Today you are 3. Happy Birthday. Happy Birthday my vivacious, beautiful princess, my little lady, my drama queen, my twin. Happy Birthday, little shadow, little helper, little sis. You grow, you learn, and you never stop moving. You’re animated and joyful and trouble all rolled into one. Never, ever Emma, did I think I would feel like I was staring myself in the eye when I had a little girl, never did I think it would be so amazing & troublesome and astonishing to watch a little girl grow & remind myself of me. So different and unique from your brother, but so equally loved and wanted. Never did I realize how deeply I would love you both, never did I imagine the pain I would feel when you are hurt, or the intense pride I would feel when you succeed.

You’ve had a fun year Emma. Looking back at your last birthday letter, and remembering the memories from this past year, I can see that you have truly grown from toddler to little preschooler in what seems like minutes. You are talking, and learning entirely more than you let on-until the day it suddenly spouts out, and makes you seem as if you are 3 going on 13. I love how much you are like me. Landon is so much like daddy, and I adore that, but to have a little mini-me is so amazing. I hope and pray that the characteristics, and traits I pass on, the one’s you want to emulate are the good ones, the one’s that are right and correct.

Emma, I love how quickly you bounce back..from owies, from no’s , and from lessons learned. It absolutely delights me how quickly you accept it, and not only move on, but find another way to do it. May you never, ever give that up. Keep it with you, sis. I love how caring you are. The way you dote on someone when they are hurt is mind boggling to me-how fast a little girl can pick up that her mommy or daddy or brother is hurting; and how fast you can hug, and then be ready to move on, irritated in dwelling in it, and ready to push forward. I love the dreams you have, that you remember what you want (a tinkerbelle bedroom!) and you stick with. And stick with it. And stick with it. You push forward and push on, always moving, never stopping.

I’ll finish your 3rd birthday letter with one of my favorites poems, Em, that is just so you. Enjoy your 3rd birthday girly, and have a happy, happy year. I can’t wait to share it with you.

I love you,

Mommy

I am your parent; you are my child.
I am your quiet place; you are my wild.
I am your calm face; you are my giggle.
I am your wait; you are my wiggle.
I am your carriage ride; you are my king.
I am your push; you are my swing.
I am your audience; you are my clown.
I am your London Bridge; you are my falling down.
I am your carrot sticks; you are my licorice.
I am your dandelion; you are my first wish.
I am your water wings. You are my deep.
I am your open arms; you are my running leap.
I am your way home; you are my new path.
I am your dry towel; you are my wet bath.
I am your dinner; you are my chocolate cake.
I am your bedtime; you are my wide awake.
I am your finish line; you are my race.
I am your praying hands; you are my saving grace.
I am your favorite book; you are my new lines.
I am your night-light; you are my starshine.
I am your lullaby; you are my peekaboo.
I am your good-night kiss; you are my I love you.

Classic Baby Photography in Spokane by Holly Clouse | 10 On Tuesday

1. Happy Tuesday!:)I made it in with a few hours to spare.;)

2. My happy news of the week is that we are all moved and in our new home, hooray! I won’t say ‘settled” quite yet, as we still have boxes and various things underfoot, but we are well on our way to feeling very “at home” in our new neighborhood.

3. I am, however, regretting those last minute, hurriedly packed boxes (I was up very late on Friday night:)) that say, “Misc.” or “Various” on them. Ha! Way to label, Holly.

4.  Last week I had some lovely women help me, Rachel, Trina Dee, Amy and both our mom’s and grandma’s. We painted the entire upstairs but for the kitchen, and ripped all the carpet out upstairs and scrubbed and polished our gleaming hardwoods. We had alot of men that came by as well to help, we had electrical that was cut and some broken pipes. We are so thankful for you all!

5. And I promise, promise, promise that there will be before and after pictures soon! I took alot with my phone, and my best friend took alot with her camera, but other than that I haven’t picked up my camera in over a week! It feels so weird, and I can’t wait to start getting some images of the kids in their new home, and getting into the swing of things with a baby session next week, hooray!

6. Nathan got his basketball hoop up on Sunday, and he and Landon played basketball last night. A car drove by once (our street is super quiet) and Landon said, “Dad, if I got run over by a car you’d have to get a new kid!” Oh dear, that kid thinks of everything..

7. I’m also getting back into cooking after two weeks of moving, packing and prepping this new home, so tonight I tried a new recipe for Burritos, HERE. We loved it and it was super easy! Try it out soon.

8. Has anyone ever managed to get black sharpie marker off of a stone fireplace? The previous owners got some black mark of some kind on the upstairs fireplace (pretty sure it’s a thick sharpie mark!) and I’ve googled to find out what will remove it without destroying the stone. I found a site that list WD40, acetone, and a few other ingredients that sounded scary. I think it’s worth a try, if I know I won’t damage the stone.

9. Last call to sign up for my mailing list! As soon as I get come back full time next week, I will be sending out a maternity casting call for mommy’s due this summer and early fall.

10. Have a lovely week!!

Newborn Photography in Spokane by Holly Clouse Photography | 10 On Tuesday

1. Hey Tuesday! Better late than never, right?! I feel so stressed right now, but am working on patience, and trust, that we will have keys this weekend (or beginning of next, sigh.) and that before I know it, we will finally be all moved in to our new home.

2. It’s been quite the haul. Nathan & I have been asked many times lately when looking back, if the last 6 months of “attempting to purchase a new home” went quickly. It didn’t.:)It was the craziest, wildest experience I’ve ever been through, and, if you don’t count the amazing team we had, like our Realtor, loan officer and others, I would never ever want to do it again. It was that stressful.

3. But we DID have the most amazing team. I can’t say enough how much incredible customer service stands out to clients. I will write our whole story someday, when we’re finally settled in, but for now, if you want the best Realtor around, call Mike at John L. Scott. Tell him we sent you.:)

4. I’ve got a great company idea someone should start-someone who calls and switches all your utilities and billing addresses for you! I’m pretty sure that’s not even legally possible since it usually has to be the account holder, but talk about removing some stress, ha! Thank heavens for all the companies that allow you to do it in 5 minutes online. Nice work, Avista and Comcast!

5. I am still responding to emails this week, just a little longer than my normal response time. Starting about Friday through the following Monday, I will most likely not be responding at all, as we will be painting and cleaning, and Saturday the 5th, moving. Monday the 7th I’ll be back to my responding off and on, with May 13th back to full time! Please keep that in mind when contacting me, I will respond, just not immediately.:)

6. I found something way fun this week, called “Book This Project”. From their website: “BOOK THIS PROJECT provides custom design and printing services for personal photo books.  We offer a streamlined approach to document your life through photographs.” I think it’s a terrific idea-sometimes we don’t have time to do this ourselves. I love how the books look, and I’ve chatted online with Stacey, she’s the best!:)Go check out her Facebook page too, and let me know if you try them!

7. Has anyone bought a new washer & dryer lately? Have recommendations for us?! We ordered our new fridge last week, and I need to find a w&d now before we move in. If you have front loaders, do you love them? Do they really save that much money in water costs?

8. I had fully intended on showing you all a sweet picture of Emma in a new dress I found her, but I failed completely. Packing is taking over my life.:)Imagine it’s right here.;)

9. Oh, & the place where I found that new dress is the greatest little boutique ever to open here in Spokane, Lollipop Lemondrop! If you didn’t see my post on Sunday, I went there to check it out, and fell in love! Stacey is so sweet, and her store is amazing. I love it! Please be sure to check it out, she has so much darling stuff, not to mention Matilda Jane dresses for the girls! I die.

10. Have a  happy week, friends! And if you don’t hear from me next week, I’m buried in paint. Lots and lots of paint.:)
